I'm a native New Yorker, now living on the west coast, and the author of (counts on fingers) five Regency romances, one dark urban fantasy (The Stone War, two historical mysteries (Point of Honour and Petty Treason), one Marvel Comics superhero novel, and an unpublished non-fiction book on game wardens(!). I've also published a dozen or so SF and fantasy short stories. I attended the Clarion SF Writers Workshop in 1981, and have worked in publishing and academia; and done editing, sword-fighting, and singing in public.
