Those 13 Liners, again . . .

August 27th, 2006

People, before you post in the “13 Lines” section, PLEASE read the effing guidelines!  We have prominently displayed the link to them.  There is no excuse for not reading them.

Anyone who wants to be a professional writer is going to have to learn a few simple rules on how to format a manuscript or put together a proposal.  Why not start learning how to follow directions with our guidelines?  You’ll thank me one fine day . . .  :-)

the page hyperlinked under the lines
    “read the guidelines”

does not contain a complete set of criteria (as of 1st Sept) – there is no mention of Subject Line nor how to post italics.

I appreciate your efforts to help the community and some of us need more guidance than others. If all the requirements were posted on one page, then it might reduce the error rate significantly.

I didn’t see any guidance on tabs or indents, on any page of guidelines. The linked page above says only to cut and paste the text. I found information in the General discussion threads about tabs and indents.

I agree that submission guidelines are important – so important that I immediately hit your hyperlink and didn’t read anything else on the main page until after I had submitted.
