John M. Ford, 1957-2006

Madeleine Robins September 25th, 2006

John M. Ford, poet and novelist, has died. Far too young. If you don’t know his work you have a great pleasure ahead of you. If you do know his work you will understand what a loss this is to the field of SF, and the world generally.

    I’m so sorry to hear it. I didn’t know him personally, but certainly he was a brilliant writer, and the field will be poorer for his loss.

    I got a short chance to meet him years ago in Tuscon. I’ve enjoyed reading his work, though I do still have more of it to read.
